| Q2 How does the Aboriginal Council of Lethbridge assist Aboriginal Youth? |
| The FNMI Education Department through the school district, provides individual mentorship and advocacy for Aboriginal students and their families. Experienced home/school liaison staffs, with extensive backgrounds in cultural heritage and presentation are available to assist schools to be successful with the Aboriginal student population. FNMI Staff work closely with the counselling teams in the schools to provide a cultural context for their work with Aboriginal students and work in a positive manner with parents, students and school staff.
The ACL also offers extensive youth programs through it's members organizations such as Chinook Health Region, City of Lethbridge, Family Centre, Family Ties, 5th on 5fth Youth Services, LCC, Native Education Program, Opokaasin, Sik-Ooh-Kotoki Friendship Centre, Woods Homes and the Aboriginal Youth Network.

| Q4 What is the Aboriginal Council of Lethbridge doing to increase employment for the Aboriginal People? |
| Our objective is to provide employment services to the local Aboriginal population. Aboriginal clients will have access to a variety of services that are designed to assist client, based upon individual goals and development with career exploration, training, and employment. Career Counselors are available to work one on one with clients to best determine an action plan based upon short or long term goals. A Job Developer will be actively searching for employment opportunities within the City of Lethbridge and Alberta in order to provide clients with employment and work experience.

| The goal of the Aboriginal Council of Lethbridge is to provide adequate and affordable housing for low-to-moderate income Native families and individuals in urban centres. ACL empowers the individuals in making responsible choices and helps the people to make positive changes in their life to set them on a path towards a self-sufficent future. |
