| Chinook Health Region |
| Mission: Our purpose is to assist in improving the health, well being, and quality of life of Aboriginal People and their families affected by diabetes. The Chinook Health Region, Aboriginal Diabetes Prevention and Management Program has started to tackle the multitude of issues surrounding diabetes in First Nation Communities by: (1) planning programs and strategies to prevent diabetes; (2) increasing awareness of diabetes and diabetes complications; (3) assisting individuals with diabetes management, emphasizing the spiritual, cultural, physical and emotional aspects of health.

| Mission: Our objective is to provide employment services to the local Aboriginal population. Aboriginal clients will have access to a variety of services that are designed to assist clients, based upon individual goals and development with career exploration, training and employment. Career Counsellors are available to work one on one with clients to best determine an action plan based upon short or long term goals. A Job developer will be actively searching for employment oppotunities within the City of Lethbridge and Alberta in order to provide clients with employment and work experience.

Lethbridge School District No. 51 through the First Nation, Métis and Inuit (FNMI) Education Program continues to assist District schools to be responsive to the needs of Aboriginal students. The “FNMI” Program has taken a leadership role in Southern Alberta in the development of “Best Practices” in urban Aboriginal education. With its wide variety of programming and community partnerships, the “FNMI” staff and personnel have been able to provide Aboriginal students within Lethbridge District No.51 Schools with an increasingly culturally relevant education and learning atmosphere.

| Mission: Treaty 7 Housing is a Native operated not-for-profit organization which provides subsidized housing rental units for low to moderate income native families seeking accommodations in the urban areas.
Developments consist of self-contained units ranging in size from two to four bedrooms units. Accommodations are available in Lethbridge, Cardston, and Calgary and in various styles such as townhouses, duplexes, and single family dwellings. Applicants are approved for a specific size of unit based on the family composition of the household.
