| BCCS is hosting a series of events, entitled Four Seasons 2006. The first event is the International Peace PowWow held every year in Lethbridge. The Lethbridge PowWow is well known by powwow competitions as the kick-off event of the year. |

| Aboriginal Boys and Girls Club - Boys and Girls Club of Lethbridge |
| Hire an Aboriginal Program Coordinator and two youth workers to deliver an Aboriginal Culture Development Program. The program will provide cross-cultural training opportunities targeted to Aboriginal youth participants and thier families, as well as to its non-Aboriginal participants. The initiative will bring awareness of Aboriginal culture, promote understanding and build relationships. |

| Education and culture project for Metis residents in Lethbridge consisting of two parts: one on Metis history, with emphasis on assisting 200 metis residents in tracing thier geneology required to prove eligibility membership in Metis Governance Organization. The second is to develop a cultural awareness component for the Red Crow Community College's existing Cross-Cultural Awareness program. |

| Deliver housing education sessions to urban Aboriginal residents. Training topics include: home repairs, budgeting, real estate, lenders, and mortgages, rental agreements, communication, conflict resolution, mediation alternatives, and empowerment. |

| Cultural and transitional program to increase recruitment and retention of Aboriginal learners enrolled at the Lethbridge Community College. Support includes hiring an Aboriginal Program Coordinator to work with existing staff and to create/deliver a cross-cultural training program for all staff and new students. |

| Beautification Project - Treaty 7 Urban Indian Housing Authority |
| Develop a database to track clients in Lethbridge. Project involves hardware upgrades, the hiring of a Database Developer, and staff training. Furthermore, a housing education program for its First Nation members in Lethbridge will be developed. Treaty 7 Urban Indian Housing Authority rents family units to its urban Aboriginal membership in Lethbridge. |

| Create and air a series of television commercials and radio spots (paid health promotion campaign-style ads) throughout the year under the theme of "Aboriginal Healthy Lifestyles". The project will focus on healthy living, including healthy eating, and the benefits of physical activity and tobacco and reduction. Aboriginal role models will participate in the campaign. |

| Crazy Horse Youth Council |
| Crazy Horse Youth Council, of the Medicine Tree Centre (Friendship Centre) to host its Second Annual Youth Conference themed"Alcohol and Drug Abuse" which will also focus on the responsibilities that go with this topic i.e driving. A secondary component to the conference is the focus on cultural activities and cross-cultural awareness for the urban Aboriginal youth of Lethbridge. UAS funding will support the cultural aspect and activities of the conference. |

| Family Ties/Metis Nation of Alberta |
| Family Ties and the MNA - Local 2003 partnered to deliver the second phase of the Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder Youth Support Group. The program will provide additional recreational programming, life skills training, and run a series of Aboriginal cultural awareness camps and various cultural activities. |

| LAC&EC - PREPPY I & II |
| Professional Readiness Employee Preparation Program for Youth (PREPPY I) -first phase of the pilot project. This phase will provide a 12 week employment learning program aimed at Aboriginal youth aged 19-30, from the Treaty 7 area and living in Lethbridge, who have been out of high school for one year or more, and need academic and/or employment direction.
Professional Employee Preparation Program for Youth(PREPPY II) -second phase of the pilot project. This phase will provide opportunities for an additional 16 youth to participate in the 18-week program in employment/academic planning that includes an enhanced cultural component and culture camp. Upon graduation the participants will have developed "Training and Education Strategy" and/or a "Career and Employment Strategy". The goal of the program is to prepare youth for sustainable employment. In the first phase of PREPPY, 74 applications were received, for which 16 programs spots were available. |

| The Health Promotion Program enhances its Breast/Cervical Cancer Health Program to Aboriginal women who have been undeserved partly due to increasing migration patters off and on-reserve. The project plans to track and follow Aboriginal who are tested, provide appropriate referrals and partnerships with various services and use Aboriginal female Elders to provide guidance and teaching to younger women. |

| Aboriginal Middle School Mentorship Program-supporting Aboriginal students in grades 6-9 to stay in school and have successful learning and school experiences. |

| Medicine Tree Centre - Aboriginal Senior Program |
| Medicine Tree Center's Aboriginal Seniors Programs to employ an Aboriginal Coordinator and Personal Home Care Workers. Currently there are no Aboriginal Personal Home Care Workers working with Aboriginal seniors in Lethbridge. |

| NASA Cultural Awareness - U of L |
| Host a cultural awareness event for the University of Lethbridge students and faculty. The event goals are to bring understanding of Aboriginal traditional culture through a two-day powwow to coincide with a Native Awareness Week at the University.
The Native Awareness week activities will include: Elders/Teachers speaking on native knowledge, workshops events in drumming, singing, dancing and hand games, and presentation by Aboriginal artists who practice contemporary methods in translating traditional lifestyles. |

| Post-secondary support service for Aboriginal learners in Lethbridge to improve retention. Services include: orientation to Lethbridge, establishment of any emergency bursary fund with a tie to volunteerism in the community, and offering motivational speaker series to support/inspire the students. |

| A 12-week course for twenty urban Aboriginal students to prepare them to write the Trades Entrance Exam. Red Crow Community College's Lethbridge Campus, will be developing the curriculum required and deliver the training. |

| The satellite campus of RCCC located in Lethbridge will enhance its existing computer lab facilities and offer computer lab services to urban Aboriginal residents. This service that is not currently available to urban Aboriginal residents of Lethbridge. |

| Theatre company and dance troupe to develop a 16-week cultural program for disadvantaged and at-risk youth aged 19-29. Objective is to mentor and train participants in Aboriginal dance, management of a theatre group, business skills and various life skills. |
